During a Facebook live session with NDTV-Dettol Banega Swasth India on food and nutrition security in India, Dipa Sinha, Assistant Professor, Ambedkar University Delhi stressed that COVID-19 has negatively affected the efforts that were being taken to address malnutrition in India. She said that after the first Covid wave, when things were starting to revive and various social development programmes were getting back on track, the country got hit by the devastating second wave.
