Australia was extremely concerned and disappointed at an OpenAI security breach of a government website which the artificial intelligence company took too long to reveal, Prime Minister Anthony Albanese said on Thursday. Albanese made the breach public following a telephone conversation with OpenAI chief executive Sam Altman. Six-year-old Chinese speedcuber Lian Yunzhi has broken the women’s world record for the 3x3x3 Rubik’s Cube average twice in competitions held just three days apart. Lian first set a record average of 4.52 seconds at a World Cube Association-certified competition in Wuhan, finishing third overall in a field that included both male and female competitors. Three days later, she lowered the record to 4.27 seconds and won another WCA-certified competition in Guangzhou. Her Guangzhou average was calculated from five solves timed at 4.20, 4.39, 4.54, 4.02 and 4.22 seconds. Under WCA rules, the fastest and slowest times are discarded and the remaining three are averaged. The result made Lian the first female speedcuber known to achieve an official average below 4.5 seconds.
A friend and wingmate of IIT Bombay student Sahil Wakode has rejected claims that caste-based remarks were made against him. Speaking about the exam-copying incident, the friend said Wakode did not speak to anyone after being taken out following the incident, leaving details unclear. The friend also said claims about caste remarks and suspension were based on speculation, arguing that there was no such culture at IIT Bombay. He added that students were not seeking the professor’s resignation unless guilt was established.

The US Southern Command (SOUTHCOM) has released footage showing a suspected drug-trafficking vessel being destroyed during an operation in the Caribbean, an action the command said killed four people allegedly involved in narcotics trafficking. A 32-year-old woman was arrested after she rammed her speeding Kia Seltos into several pedestrians in Nagpur on Tuesday night, leaving seven, including three children, injured.
The incident took place near the Dinshaw factory in Nagpur's Gorewada area.
According to the police, the woman first crashed her car into another SUV and hit its driver - Balu Kulmethe - who was getting out of his vehicle with his young daughter. The woman's car, which was already out of control due to speeding and negligence, then hit three children walking on the road. It went on to hit two other people, identified as Harish Rambhau Revatkar and Ashish Nakhate.
The injured people were rushed to a nearby hospital, where they are undergoing treatment.
In an exclusive interview with NDTV, biker Siya recounts the Gurugram crash and alleges that the accused deliberately chased and hit her before fleeing the spot. Speaking after recording her statement with police, Siya says she could have died in the incident, questions the delay in the accused’s arrest and shares how the crash has left her feeling unsafe on the road.
