नेपाल-तिब्बत सीमा पर स्थित रसुवा में आई तबाही के एपिसेंटर पर NDTV इंडिया की टीम पहले भारतीय चैनल के तौर पर पहुंची है. रिपोर्ट के मुताबिक, 26 अगस्त को तिब्बत की तरफ टिमुरे बॉर्डर के पास ग्लेशियर फटने से भोट कोशी नदी में भीषण सैलाब आया, जिसने रसुवा और फिर नुवाकोट के त्रिशूली बाजार को पूरी तरह तबाह कर दिया. जहां कभी सैकड़ों घर, होटल, बाजार और 21 मेगावाट का हाइड्रो पावर प्लांट था, वहां अब सिर्फ मलबा और सिल्ट है. सरकारी आंकड़ों के अनुसार, 5000 से ज्यादा लोग लापता हैं और 300 से ज्यादा शव चितवन तक मिले हैं, जिनमें कैलाश मानसरोवर के तीर्थयात्री भी शामिल हैं. आज पांचवें दिन भी रसुवा सड़क संपर्क से कटा हुआ है और सिर्फ हेलीकॉप्टर से रेस्क्यू चल रहा है, जबकि बचे हुए लोग स्कूलों और होटलों में शरण लेने को मजबूर हैं और बारिश के कारण दोबारा बाढ़ का अलर्ट जारी है.
