Shakib-al Hasan of Bangladesh was the unlikely leader on the top run-scorers’ list at the end of Match 31 of the ICC World Cup 2019. The veteran Bangladesh all-rounder was on top after the Bangladesh vs Afghanistan match with 476 runs from six matches. He was subsequently overtaken by David Warner and Aaron Finch of Australia, but if Bangladesh advance further in the World Cup, Shakib could well be in line to top the run-scorers’ list.
