The Indian Council of Medical Research said recently that schools need to be reopened in a phased manner, beginning with primary schools followed by secondary schools, and allowed to remain open and safe with multi-layered mitigation measures. Many states have opened schools in a phased manner. Schools in Mumbai will also reopen on Monday for the first time in one and a half years.
