This Valentine's Day, we celebrate the love that makes us human. Not just romance, attraction and affection, but empathy, care, inclusion, humanity that treats each one as an equal. This is a love that recognises the rights of all persons with disabilities to live with dignity and with the same access to resources and opportunities as anyone else. This is the love that does not see them as dependent on society; love that does not treat them as objects of pity or charity. It is a love that encourages and empowers them.
