उच्चतम न्यायालय ने लोकसभा सचिवालय को नए संसद भवन का उद्घाटन राष्ट्रपति द्वारा कराए जाने संबंधी निर्देश देने का अनुरोध करने वाली जनहित याचिका पर सुनवाई करने से इनकार किया. न्यायालय ने कहा कि ये विचार करने योग्य मामला नहीं है.
