In this special show, we discuss the reason behind an unprecedented low in India - Canada ties, the Khalistani issue. Several Khalistani extremists have been operation in Canada and India has repeatedly said that Canada is a safe haven for extremists and Canada is complacent to some extent. The relations nosedived after Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau accused "Indian government agents" of involvement in the killing of Khalistani terrorist Hardeep Singh Nijjar in June, allegations that India denied. There are several examples to show how extremists are freely operating in Canada. Recently, an audio clip of Khalistani terrorist Arshdeep Dalla threatening a Punjab businessman for extortion has surfaced, which is proof of how Khalistani terrorists and gangsters sitting in Canada are targeting India. External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar also repeatedly said that Canada is a hub of terrorists and gangsters. We take a deep dive into the facts we know of the Khalistani operations in Canada and the lack of action from the Canadian Govt. Mr Yashovardhan Azad, former Special Director, IB joins the broadcast with his insights.
