From almost losing 16 big cats to poaching in 2005, Rajasthan's Sariska Tiger Reserve, through breeding programmes and other conversation methods, turned out to be country's first success story with 27 tigers in 2023. The remaining 70 tigers of Rajasthan's 100 big cats are at Rajasthan Tiger Reserve.
