Controversial slogans were raised at the Sabarmati Dhaba inside Jawaharlal Nehru University on Monday night, hours after the Supreme Court of India rejected bail pleas of student activists Umar Khalid and Sharjeel Imam in the 2020 Delhi riots conspiracy case. The sloganeering, reported between 9:30 pm and 10:30 pm, prompted Delhi Police teams to visit the area to assess the situation. While no FIR has been registered so far, authorities say the campus remains under watch. Student groups have submitted complaints and memorandums to the JNU administration seeking action.
