West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Friday attacked the Centre over Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose, questioning why his birth anniversary has not been declared a national holiday. She alleged that the Centre has neither established the freedom fighter's date of death nor made sincere efforts to do so, and accused it of attempting to distort history.
