As Covid cases continue to rise sharply in Mumbai, the city's civic body has sent 375 samples for genome sequencing to see if this recent spike in the number of cases is driven by the Omicron variant. Today Mumbai has recorded 3,671 cases, over 1100 more cases than yesterday.
