Six new cases of Omicron have been reported in Karnataka, pushing the total tally of the new variant to 14 in the state. Of the two cluster outbreaks reported in educational institutions, five tested positive for Omicron, besides one case of a traveller from the UK. While the international traveller and one of the students were fully vaccinated, the rest four weren't as they were below 18. The first Omicron cases in the country were reported from Bengaluru. Two have recovered so far, pushing the active Omicron cases to 11 in the state. All patients are currently under institutional quarantine.
